Having your friend/relative meet you at the terminal.

Marc train from BWI should be around $4-7. Train comes right in to Union station in DC. Amtrak is more.

The only MARC trains that late are at 7:49 and 9:47. https://mta.maryland.gov/sites/defau...Nov18_Full.pdf

Otherwise it is Amtrak.

Or the B30 Bus to Greenbelt station and then taking the Metro. https://www.wmata.com/schedules/time...b30_170625.pdf

Rather than start a new thread I thought I'd piggyback on this one even though I won't be heading towards DC.

I'll be arriving at BWI in the early evening and would like to take a train to a decent place where I'm likely to find an airbnb room near the station, close enough to an enterprise car rental that they would pick me up the next morning. I would then travel on in the direction of Frederick if that helps with location. Would busses open up more options? Will rush hour be winding down by 6:30 or 7?

Car rentals at the airport are at least $100/week more expensive, so that's not my first choice.

Normally, rush hour will be winding down by 7 but you still have several chances to catch the MARC. Take it south to Bowie. Bowie is overall a decent area and there are several Enterprise locations there.

If planning on a pickup, call the office first to make sure they actually do pickups. Just because Enterprise corporate says they do, individual offices don't necessarily do (as I found out the hard way).

Wouldn't going to Bowie be out of the way to head back up towards Frederick? Why not just catch the train down to the Hanover area or Uber to Glen Burnie. I'm not sure about the Hanover area but I do know there are many car rental places in Glen Burnie.

I would take the B30 Bus to Greenbelt and then Metro to Silver Spring. You will have plenty of airbnb options there with all the new high rise apartments. Rental car places are nearby and you can jump on the beltway to 270 and head to Frederick. Car rentals at BWI are sky high.
