Great thread. Hell I'm a Red Sox fan but I would never consider starting a thread like this. What an angry little man the OP is, shocker he's a Yankees fan.

We were spoiled for a while though. The Robinson Bros., Boog, Blair, sweeping the Dodgers in 4 straight despite Koufax and Drysdale, and then 1971 with four 20-game winners, Earl Weaver, then later Rip and Murray. Yep spoiled we were.

I think this is the worst team ever, based on performance so far. More talented than others but the hitting is missing for some reason.

We can still blame it all on Angelos.
About the only thing worse than old Pete will be his sons doing a tag team.

Yeah, I don't remember even the '54 team being this bad. Could stand corrected.

I don't know whether it's just poor ownership of else the owners don't have the same financial resources as others. Baseball seems to have less of the share-the-revenue economic schemes as the NFL and NBA.

The team just down the road is having a good run, great gen. mgr. Seems funny remembering how pitiful the old 1950s Senators under the Griffith family were before they moved to Minnesota.

Indeed.

Best organization in baseball 1960-1983.

First in war,
First in peace,
And last in the American League.

I blame it on the players. Several of the same players hit far better in the past. It's still possible they turn the hitting around, but the organization itself is in trouble. Fans are not attending games thanks to the criminals and Democrats running the city.

That was 45 years ago.
