M&S Grill, Brio, etc. Can't let all these continue the city will need clean up that whole strip. Is that too much for them to do? Gotta keep the business flowing not closing. Please share your thoughts and ideas.

Are these closing because their leases are ending ? I thought there were major renovations in the works for the pavilions. Secondly there are a host of other new restaurants that are easier to get to and offer a more complete shopping and entertainment experience i.e. Harbor East. You can shop eat dinner and have a nice cocktail at some of baltimores more trendy bars and lounges. Inner Harbor is more touristy and even the tourists are spending less time in trinket stores muche less a $$ restaurant. I am sure someone will say crime squeegee kids and panhandlers which may play a role especially when that is absent in Harbor East but I think some of the attraction for IH for "dining" has worn off

Restaurants closing downtown? As long as Miss Shirley's is around, I'm good. <3

Remember many folks from the suburbs would dine downtown. My parents did decades ago. Since so many places have opened in the suburbs over the last ten years they are taking the business away from many places down town.
And the competitive nature of that business you better have your game on.
Harbor Place is a dinosaur. Renovating it is not enough. It needs to be torn down, and completely rebuilt into much larger buildings. I am usually against this but for Harbor Place to thrive it's what it needs.

Johnny Rockets is an old chain that's faded away in most places. I wouldn't think it's still there, but I haven't been to the harbor in a while.

This is a good point. As a child in Baltimore County, my family was always going downtown to eat (Little Italy, Inner Harbor, Fells Point, Charles Street, etc.) for celebrations. Nowadays I only go downtown to eat to meet friends that live closer to/in the city. It's not my first go-to when there's many other choices in the suburbs.

Actually it is still there. Granted the little mall is quite empty these days and devoid of life as a result but JR is still there nonetheless. For how long? I have no idea.
