I grew up in Pittsburgh as well. Baltimore was a nice place to live then. Now, in Baltimore, with highest teen pregnancy rate and a population explosion who do not have to support their families we have quite a mess. Now they are raising the water bills to pay for so many dysfunctional people. What's next ?

It has been compounded over many more decades, so its effects are greater. Hispanics and other groups living in similar conditions are still relatively "new," so they are not as impacted.

It's not just family structure, but the type of violent, negligent, and destructive culture that gets promoted and reinforced. It's in everything from rap music to the media to the universities, all of which promote the vicious cycle of black poverty and dysfunction, while simultaneously making excuses for it, and all while simultaneously blaming Whites for decades of black problems which they themselves refuse to remedy because it's easier to simply blame Whites while holding out the palm for government gifts in exchange for votes.

The first thing society needs to do is to stop making excuses. A criminal is a criminal. Period. A bum is a bum. We also need to recognize that the schools are not going to change by throwing more money at them. Subsidizing housing only makes already well-to-do landlords richer. Subsidizing food makes more money for grocery stores and WalMart while also allowing the breeding of the next generation of chaos. The decayed housing isn't going to fix itself and blacks aren't going to pick up a hammer and nails to repair their own houses. Landlords are only going to do the bare minimum and often do not even do that unless forced to by code inspectors (why bother when tenants don't care and just wreck the place anyway?).

All the above is what happen when you kick fathers out of the home and replace them with government subsidies....the women realize they can just breed without first having to actually select a worthwhile partner. This selection process by women for mates simply reinforces black dysfunction, since men now no longer have to be upstanding citizens or hold down jobs for mates they can simply hang out on the streets while getting whatever handouts they themselves can get or otherwise rely on their moms and grandmothers (or baby mama) for food and housing (as well as getting what they can via crime). Sadly this same paradigm has manifested into the lower rungs of White culture for the past decade or decade and a half.

It there isn't big change, Baltimore will be the new Detroit. If it continues to get worse, tourism a big money maker will suffer. Not just the inner harbor but Little Italy and other areas where tourists like to go. Tourism is still doing well and of course when it's Ravens football.

I will send it myself if i can figure out how. If you don't mind. As of yesterday 39 murders in the past 30 days and all the politicians can do is talk.talk,talk. (and do nothing unless their inepness is brought out by the press. I have lived in baltimore for 58 years and it keeps getting worse.

The cold winters of northern Europe put evolutionary pressure on people to select for traits centered around intelligence and industriousness. Those who were stupid and/or lazy tended to die off. One had to be frugal with their resources, delay gratification during the lean months even if it was painful, and then work incredibly hard during the abundant months to stock up for the winters. The lazy and the unresourceful died, heck, even by working hard there was no guarantee, and then one still had to accumulate enough to bring the next generation into adulthood.

Now whether this was done from a purely evolutionary standpoint or whether people socially selected for intelligence and industriousness is up for debate, as is whether people made mate selection choices consciously or subconsciously. It's likely a mix of all of the above. Society was created accordingly as the individual traits that would be valued most would revolve around cooperation and honesty, hard work, and being frugal with one's resources.

The opposite occurred in Africa. There was little change in seasons except for slight rainfall fluctuations in some areas and daylight never varied by more than a couple hours. Food was abundant as long as there were fewer people than the region could support. There was little incentive to store or to save for harsher times and there seemed to be no desire to develop civilization beyond rudimentary levels of technology. This manifests in the "live for now and only now" mentality that you see today, there's no savings, and no real desire for blacks on any continent to actually plan for their future, develop infrastructure, or even care about the quality of their own neighborhoods.

This was humans millions of years ago. Yes cold whether makes you prepare warm whether makes you lazier that's clear. One main difference Europeans had was the domestication of the horse.
