The Baltimore democrats are not interested in hearing about crime. They only want to steal money for themselves.

I usually don't agree with @pappjohn, but the crime and corruption in Baltimore have been going on for decades. I don't know if the politicians, powers that be, whomever, actually want better for the city. Baltimore,Camden, the Bronx.. all seem to be stuck. Even Detroit and Philly are showing signs of growth and yes.. gentrification. What do you think is the plan for Baltimore? The city has not benefited from being 45 minutes from DC or one hour or so from Philly. I am at a loss. Crime has been cut more than in half in the most populated largest city on the east coast, NYC. There is a formula to reduce crime. What is the plan here??

Can’t remember who said it but it was something along the lines of we were never guaranteed good government, only representative government. Anybody remember who said it? I was thinking Mencken but can’t verify it.

If you just walled off an area within a 2-mile radius of Pennsylvania Avenue, you'd probably see the homicide rate drop 75%.

The city refuses to believe that you simply have to improve roads, trash, graffiti, parks and abandonment first. You have to develop downtown and beautify neighborhoods first. Thats literally what any turn around city has done. TIs the little things first. After you make the neighborhoods look decent you can attract all types of different pioneers there because theyll feel safer even if they really arent.
