Any recommendations? I've been here over a year now and cannot find a good place. There has to be one somewhere close to my area. Willing to extend to the Waverly area (but not Greenmont Ave) or Mt. Vernon.

I went to My Sisters Place on Charles Street once but was turned off by the way I was greeted and promptly walked out. Too bad as this is a type of place that would interest me.

Although a small chain I used to like THB Bagel on St. Paul St. But that place has changed a lot since Covid-19 and I'm not going back at least until they open their cash register back up and let people dine in. I peaked in the other day and they still have the same set up when most places were on lockdown. I don't get that.

I am open to carryout only. Looking for vegetarian omelets and homemade potatoes. Fresh muffins and bagels also interest me.
Thank you.

Thanks, I've never been there. I will check it out but I'm looking for something that opens early.

This is off topic, but I miss going to Valley View on Sunday Morning in the mid 90's and getting pancakes, slab of ham, and a coffee for $3.20.

So I haven’t lived in Mobtown for years now but my favorite breakfast spot was always Pete’s Grill on Greenmount. Guessing that is long gone.

Thanks. It's still there, states for 50 years. I stay away from Greenmount but may be open to go. I live very close to there and it opens at 7 AM. Wish I could say I feel safe walking there but I really don't. Might be okay early in the AM but I know there was a fatal stabbing very close to that restaurant about a month ago on a Sunday at about 4 PM.

I don't want to change this subject (please) but I somewhat follow the crime in Baltimore.

I have a car but as I can see from 33rd Street they are doing some major construction so not sure about parking.

I may talk a walk over there tomorrow morning. I'll let you know.

Thank you all for the suggestions.

I forgot about this restaurant just a couple of blocks from Terra Cafe. I believe this is the type of place you are looking for. The exterior reminds me of that restaurant on Seinfeld that they always hang out at. I have eaten there a few times and the food is good; typical hearty homestyle food.

I got out to a super late start today. I fell asleep with the TV on and woke up to the breaking news, just as it broke. I was up all night.

I hit this restaurant today. I was disappointed they had the dining room closed so I'm glad I decided to drive instead of walk. I ordered the vegetarian omelet. The food was hot when I got home and was very enjoyable.

I will definitely check out the other places as well.
