Hi,

I'd like to learn more about Ten Hills. There are lovely homes there but I'm not sure about the neighborhood. It seems like there aren't alot of amenities there, i.e. grocery stores, Target, restaurants, shopping centers. Will most shopping be in Catonsville?

Also, is there public transportation to the Halethorpe train station from Ten Hills?

Is the neighborhood a safe area?

Any opinions will help.

Thank you.

It's about a mile shy of the County.

Correct. Lovely neighborhood but not many amenities and the ones close by aren't premium amenities either. Catonsville is where you would go for your shopping and dining. Ellicott City also isn't far.

I'm sure there is some sort of bus route that will take you to Halethorpe but unlikely it's a direct route.

There is a Giant on Edmonson that seems to be OK the last few times I have been in there.. But, I suspect it is just easier to go into the County especially to Home Depot, Lowes, Wal Mart etc.. They are all right there.. so you may as well take advantage of it...

The Uplands development which is the newish townhome complex on Edmonson is supposed to be moving forward with their second phase which is/was going to be single family homes. Retail has been planned for the frontage along Edmonson but just like everything else in the City things take forever to never.. so I guess we shall see if it all gets completed.

Thank you for your response. The second phase with retail sounds like it would be a great idea. I hope it eventually happens.

This is very timely. Do you know if these meetings are recorded? I looked on the page but didn't see prior recordings.
