How early does traffic get bad on the balto beltway? I have to get from Columbia to Lutherville by 7am - is there typically any problem that early?

That early, I would not think so. I'm usually going southbound, where there is more traffic but it seems like traffic builds up after 7:30am. Northbound should be much better.

You shouldn't have a problem unless there is a major incident that ties up traffic. Most of the traffic will be heading in the opposite direction. If traffic does back up, once you get to the top of the beltway, you can always take the Falls Road exit and take Seminary Avenue over to Lutherville.

You should be good if you're leaving home by 6-6:15ish as you are headed north and traffic is horrendous southbound, sometimes even that early in the morn.
