I am a student at Hopkins. I am writing my master's thesis on HIV in Baltimore, but my first chapter is really focused on the factors that made Baltimore a good place for an epidemic: drug use, urban decay, racial disparities, etc. I would really love to hear people's stories about the 40s, 50s, and 60s, especially those that relate to racial tensions, white flight, heroin use, and West Baltimore. Please let me know if you'd be willing to talk to me. I should say that I am new to the area, but am madly in love with the city.

Thanks!
