I will be graduating in a couple weeks and will be working in Beltsville, MD starting in late June. Does anyone have any suggestions on neighborhoods in Baltimore with a lot of young people? I'm sure this question gets ask a lot but how would you compare: Fells Point? Canton? Federal Hill? Locust Point? other neighborhoods that would be worthwhile? I've estimated that I can afford $1000-1200/month for rent.

I used to work in Laurel and commute from Pigtown. When I was fresh out of college and moved to Baltimore I thought Federal Hill was just THE COOLEST PLACE. You would probably also love Canton or Fells Point, but with your commute I recommend sticking to the south side of the city with easy access to 295 and 95 south. Pigtown, Federal Hill, Locust Point, all could fit the bill for you. Be prepared for a 40-60 minute commute however or consider living in the burbs if that drive is just too long.
