Hello, what is there to do after the Orioles game around 10:30 or so? Are there any bars/clubs in that general area? We like any type of music, expect for piano bars, LOL. I haven't been to Baltimore during the night before. Many of my friends say that most of Baltimore's bars are ghetto but I don't think so for sure.

I'm coming in from NYC and my friend is coming up from VA.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

You may like the Power Plant Live area (:::{ POWER PLANT LIVE }:::) it's a bunch of bars, clubs, restaurants - it's a few blocks from Oriole Park, so you can walk, take a cab, or grab the subway (just keep in mind when it closes, midnight) from the Lexington market station (next to the ball park) to Shot Tower/Marketplace which dumps you right next to Power Plant.

Usually after the games, Pickles pub is usually open too next to the ball park. There's also Federal Hill (South of the Harbor area), Canton and Fells Point too.

Me too. Or you can just ignore the gunfire. I keep hearing if your not doing drugs you won't get hit.

Look at crimebaltimore.com.
I think partying and drinking in the Fells Point, Canton, and Harbor East areas is safer than the Inner Harbor (which is close to West B'more and some really crappy areas).
I live in Harbor East and it seems pretty ok. Lots of security guys checking the area at night, little kids out really late walking around. Couples walking to get Haagan Daaz late at night.

I go to Baltimore all the time for the night life and I'm from the suburbs. Federal Hill, Canton (though these 2 parking is a $%@! on the weekends if you don't get there early enough), Fells Point, as mentioned Power Plant Live and the clubs near Mercy Medical Center (Bourbon St, Sonar, Club One). Never had any problems.

Ditto--stuff is blown way out of proportion. Baltimore is fine for a night out. I can not believe how "weak" some folks are.

Its not that we're weak, tuff guy, its that we are new to the area and keep reading about shootings all over the place. We are just asking for basic information ie) where is it safe, where is it not. Its not an unreasonable question.

There are bars right near the ballpark, just beyond LF. I doubt you'd have any problems there.
