I've always found Della Note to be very chain-ish and kinda crappy. The more authentic italian restaurants are in the heart of little italy, a couple blocks "inland" of President St.

The Helmand is a great Afghanistani place. There's also an Ethiopian place called Dukem, on Chase & Maryland. I haven't tried it yet but I've heard good things.

Dukem is excellent. I forgot to mention that one. It's a small place but has great food and service.

The Lebanese place in Harbor East is quite good. I'd recommend it. I think it's called Lebanese Taberna.

I don't go there because it looks that way, but it gets highly rated in national and international magazines, so... but that's why I listed the others as starting points, as well, and said to wander around in Little Italy.

Mr. Bolton Man —
I'll be flying to Balto. next week, and one of the places I have lined up is Bistro b on Mosher Street in Bolton Hill.

What is your favorite specialty for (weekday) lunch?

Merci beaucoup à l'avance.

Asian Taste in Hamden? That is the definition of cheap, crappy chinese takeout.
