Hello, I am a 23 year old professional who recently accepted a job in Owings Mills. A few family friends of mine recommended that I not live right in Owings Mills because of safety issues so I am looking for some advice about other areas. Basically, I grew up in a more rural area of the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Because of this, I am not interested in living in Baltimore but am more interested in a safe suburb that has a decent amount of things to do for a younger person like myself. Ideally, I would like a town that doesn't rely on Baltimore's services but is self-sufficient, for example a place that has a mall, movie theater, and some bars/good restaurants. Some people have recommended Towson, Timonium, Cockeysville, are these good areas? I am also interested in learning more about White Marsh, Perry Hall, Middle River, or even northern AA county but I am unsure what the commute will be like. Thanks for any information!

Dear Young Professional in Baltimore. I have lived in baltimore now for 10 years and know the area quite well. I happen to now be a property manager in a very lovely property thats only 15 minutes away from you owings mills job. Its called Cross Country Manor Apartments. You can check out some of the residents comments to ours and all apartment communities in baltimore at www.apartmentratings.com.
We are about to move in a young couple from the Eastern Shore. You should definitly stop by and check out the place or at lease give us a call.
Office # is 410-764-1117.
