update: I went to Mama's on the Half Shell.....the portions are HUGE!!!! The Calamari plate was huge!!! A little too much batter but still they gave me a big 'ole plate of calamari.

It is a nice little watering hole. I can how this place would fill up quickly on a Friday night/Sat/Sun.

Mama's is pretty gross to me. I find it highly overrated. Greasy fish or bland sauces. Flavorless fries, and slaw. I've tried it 3 times in a 'let's all share plates' fashion for a total tasting of about 15 entrees and apps. I didn't like a single thing but the oyster shooters.

Oceanaire is a chain, but it's a damn fine chain. They've taken their reputation and recipes, and applied those to some very fresh ingredients. I highly recommend it.

I've only had brunch at the Rusty Scupper and it was pretty good. At any rate the view and atmosphere are superb. Also, why do people get excited when you get WHOLE plate FULL of food? That's why people are so fat, but if you want to add l@rd to your tush, then by all means, go for the full plate.

I'll be honest that I haven't really had much at Mama's, so I could just be lucky in the few things I like there. As for Oceanaire, I wasn't impressed. My lobster was way overcooked and my steak was over seasoned, and the lobster mac was not as good as at Ryleigh's Oyster. The other things I had at Ryleigh's Oyster were all very good. The food I've had at Rusty Scupper was good, but nothing special. The view is what made it a great place to eat, but I'd rather have great food than a great view. Obrycki's was good, but again nothing special. I did love the deviled crab cake, but that might have been more about it being new to me than anything else. I probably won't go back to Obrycki's since I don't feel it is worth the price.

Don't forget the time tested Filet-o-Fish sandwich.
