My family and I will be relocating from the midcoast. We are looking to live within 20 minutes of Old Town. Does anyone have any feedback on the schools in that area?

I have 2 elementary age children and one of them struggles with a learning disability so I really want to be sure we're in a good school. I appreciate the feedback.

My wife is a retired special education director. She tells me that the Old Town and Orono schools have much better programs than either Bangor or Brewer.

I had heard good things about Orono but not much about Old Town. Thank you for that information.

My son was in the special ed at Old Town High. I can't say enough good things about Ms. Wade, the teacher there, she got him into regular classes for English, Science, and History, and provided the extra support he needed to suceed in those classes. I don't know anything about the elementry schools.
