I'm hoping there will be a good turnout today for the Bangor Book Festival. 35 authors are taking part at various locations including the Bangor Public Library and Bagel Central. It's rainy so that may help. We are going down to the Bagel Central for the 11:30 am poetry presentation of Dava Morrison. It seems he is very popular as he was rock musician and his presentation is very entertaining. I missed Christina Tree at 9 am. I have always loved her guide books of New England.

Bangor is getting more interesting all the time. There is rarely a weekend now when there isn't something going on of interest. Next Friday at Spragues Garden and plant Center on outer Union St. there is an "Art in the Garden" function from 4 to 8. This is a fundraiser for the Humane Society. Art on display for purchase, drinks and appetizers in a lovely setting. Hope the weather holds.

RHB did you make it to Spragues for the "Art in The Garden" if so, how was the turnout? I wish I could have made it as I always like to support the Humane Society.

Sadly no. I got called into work early, thus getting home early, and wasn't up for a drive back into town.

Strangely, it has become commonplace to have your Kindle signed. The New York Times even wrote a piece on it! Http://www.nytimes.com/2009/06/15/bu.../15kindle.html I want to like the Kindle, but it just hasn't worked out for me as a reader who flips back to reread plot details frequently. :/
