It does all come down to employment unless you don't have to work for whatever reason. It's easy for someone from away to get all starry-eyed about living in Bar Harbor or elsewhere in Maine ... possibly caught up in a living in Maine fantasy. I agree with the POSITIVE things already stated about living in Maine 12 months a year, raising kids in Maine, living in Bar Harbor or elsewhere in Maine, schools in Hancock County, etc. Maine life isn't for everyone, but there is no way to know for sure until you try it. You may or may not be happy with your reality of living in Maine. Search CD and you'll find many threads on moving to Maine and moving to Maine with kids, finding a job, etc.

I took a few minutes to look at the Technology/IT/Computer jobs listed on the website below. I saw one in Hancock County at Jackson Lab, several in Penobscot County, and many in Cumberland and Androscoggin Counties. Take a look.

Sorry I have not been on in a bit. Things have been crazy here on my end. You all have been so awesome with your comments and I can not thank you all enough. It has given me a lot to think about.
