Yesterday at the Bangor airport a security guard and police officer helped me to locate my elderly husband, who had become separated from me in traffic going to the airport. I was truly frantic, and seeing them there and then their making calls to locate my husband's whereabouts was the best thing that has happened to me in a long time.

THANK YOU SO MUCH, YOU TWO... AND GOD BLESS ALL THE PEOPLE IN BLUE WHO HELP US ALL IN SO MANY UNMENTIONED WAYS.

My interactions with police have always been positive or neutral (the neutral interactions were getting a ticket, that can only be so positive).

I appreciate the police very much. They do a hard, thankless, personally risky job, keeping the rest of us safe. Ditto for the military.

There are a few bad apples, but when I realized I had a BIG problem, contacting a police officer was the first thing I thought of.. and what else could I do? My husband refuses to have a cell phone...
