Having a simple meet in Bangor for the people in our surrounding Bangor was a topic at our Sunrise meet on Tuesday.

Alot of us supported the idea and even believe it would be well worth driving a 100 miles to put faces to the names of those we have chatted with over the months and years.

I am hoping we could pick a date and have enough time for those who need to make arrangements, give work notice will be able to agree on a place. Some may think once the kids have gone back in Late August or early September maybe ideal.

I go to Bangor monthly for supplies and things I don't usually find my way. So I can make it a useful trip all around.
I guess we need to poll things for this so we all have an idea of whats good.

(*I think this is also great advertisment for the site we enjoy too)

p.s. I'm a voice here... not the leader. I just wanted to see if people wanted to have something to look forward to. I know a few people from here, so I'll be as nervous as everyone else who's meeting new people for the first time.

Having it in Bangor brought of a better point that it's more central located then our little sunrise towns.

I hope you'll poll and post any ideas on where would be good to meet too.
Thanks
peachie~Tami

I would enjoy that greatly. I couldn't help with a place either, we really don't go out for meals. Thanks for the idea, it is thoughtful of you.

Oh no, I can't take the credit for this great idea. I'm just the person on the "soap box" asking if we can do this this.

The China Jade over by the movie theaters behind the mall is very good. They have plenty of parking and they also have American style food. Prices are reasonable. With enough people you can get a private room.

Everybody has a "Bangor list" they keep for when they go.

Holy Cow! Msina has over a half mil views of her posts. It seems like just yesterday when she hit $250,000

SeaDog Brewing in Bangor is a nice place. It's on Front Street. Good food, great beer and the place can handle a crowd.

Are you going to allow anyone from below the volvo line? I'm not sure I'd want to participate in a barroom brawl!

hehe... allow? come on... we're not a country club- checking membership and driver's licenses at the door. I think anyone who participates in the threads is welcome with out question.

Look at me...
I've only been a member since spring and I'm selling this site to anyone who listens. It's fun, interesting and who doesn't enjoy meeting for food.

I think it's a great idea - I'd like to ride with someone because I don't know Bangor very well.
