This was my first trip to the Bangor waterfront, and I was impressed. There is the festival happening there this weekend, and we went down to it. It was very nice - wanted to learn about fiddlehead cake, but ended up with potato candy - and the waterfront has a very nice walk way.

Did anyone else go to the festival?

We are thinking about going tomorrow and taking a look around. We only live 5 minutes from there so we can either skip down and look around or make an afternoon of it. Is it something you would go to again?

Yes, I think I would.
I hadn't gone before because I was so dissappointed in the fair, that I wasn't going to do any other Bangor activities. Then I saw "fiddlehead" cake and decided to give it a try, and was pleased. Next year I'll take a closer look to see if there are other things I'd like to do also.

We didn't get to go this year, but next year we are planning on making reservations to stay nearby for the night. Did you just go fo the day?

The Folk Festival is lovely! Great free music, great people watching, good food -- anything from lobster to clam chowder to funnel cakes and more. If we didn't have the kids with us yesterday, we'd have stayed until the end.

Actually I went yesterday as well. I took my Dw and eldest son. We might have passed each other.

We did watch the Potato candy demo, I was very surprised that potatoes could be used to make basically a 'Mounds' or 'Almond Joy' bar.

I also made a contact while at the festival with a barley farmer, and we are part way through negotiating a price for a tonne of barley.

It is amazing that we are in such a small world.
