I'm with jtur88. Caray was a huge figure in those days when he and Jack Buck broadcast those games. Another factor IMHO is radio station KMOX.I could be in several different spots in the Rocky Mountain West and still could count on picking up their 50,000 watt signal. It is one of the most noted am radio stations. And KMOX goes back a long time. My dad grew up in central Oklahoma in the 1930's and KMOX was there back then.

Wow...the Mets have a ridiculously small area on that map. It seems pretty accurate....my area is listed as on the border between Yankees and Phillies, which is right. For being 2 hours from NYC, there are Yankee fans everywhere here, but I only know a few Mets fans.
