I admire the pitcher's mechanics, notice how his release point comes at the exact apex of his leap...every time.

If there had a been a runner on base, I think the back flip moves would have constituted a balk.

Should this catch on, there will be some intriguing ramifications. Charging the mound will become interesting as the pitcher has the means to make a vertical escape just as the angered batter arrives.

Anyway, we now have the answer to the question....what happens when an eephus pitch is hurled at high velocity?
