That's six, but that's the first tier.

John Lester is the first guy in the 2nd tier.
Greinke, Kershaw, Haren and Weaver are right behind him.

What, no Sabathia? He's just as good as Verlander.

You have to have Josh Johnson in the conversation - especially with the start he's off to this year, which is even stronger than last year where he was without a doubt one of the top performers in the NL

This is a neat blurb from espn

Josh Johnson has handled right handed hitters differently this season. Left picture shows 2009 and 2010 seasons. Right picture shows this season.

If it seems like Josh Johnson is flirting with a no-hitter every time out this season, it’s because he is. In each of his five starts this season, the Florida Marlins right-hander has not allowed a hit though three innings. In three of his five starts, including Sunday against the Rockies, he pitched at least 5⅔ innings of no-hit ball. Johnson has three of the six total no-hit bids of at least 5⅔ innings this season. According to Elias, he is the first pitcher in the last 50 years with three starts of at least 5⅔ no-hit innings in April.

You can throw all the war info you want but look at right now which was the question. Look at ERA and the record...enough said!

Zach Britton is better than Tim Lincecum, right?
Britton: 5 - 1 2.63
Lincecum: 2 -3 2.90

YouTube - FIP: A New ERA

Britton: 4.78 K/9, 3.58 BB/9, .72 HR/9, 0.5 WAR, 4.14 FIP
Lincecum: 10.04 K/9, 2.90 BB/9, .45 HR/9, 1.2 WAR, 2.50 FIP

Maybe not

How do these two pitchers compare in 2011?
