There is something wrong here, the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Colts I thought, and I have read, were the same franchise. The Cubs were known as the Colts from 1890-1897. Also, The Boston Beaneaters and the Boston Doves are the same franchise, which today are known as the Atlanta Braves. Anyway, if this is legitimate, I love the Cardinals pun (which it may not be a pun given that St. Louis has a sizable catholic population!)

I was most curious as to what the Philadelphia Phillie is? A guy in his pajamas?

Similar, the St. Louis Browns.

In 1908, the year of this album, the Brooklyn team was officially known as The Brooklyn Baseball Club, but was oft referred to as the Brooklyn Superbas. The picture appears to be a Bridegroom? as the team was known 10 years earlier.

The Cleveland franchise was known as the 'Naps' in honor of Nap Lajoie who was a player-manager, but I don't think that's him depicted in the picture.
