So for people that don't know the Brewers and Cardinals hate each other, players and managers going back to Ned Yost days as well. Then you have LaRussa throwing at Prince and Braun and the Brewers throwing at Pujols. Then the Nyjer Morgan incident with Carpenter, then the next Nyjer Morgan incident where he calls Albert, Alberta and tweets have fun not playing we will be in the playoffs. Nyjer said this when STL was 10 games out, well guess who meets in Milwaukee on Sunday! Alberta and the Cardinals. Also it's a rematch of the 1982 World Series aka The Suds Series where STL wins in 7 games. Rematch accepted!

How can it be a rematch, if none of the players are returning, and one of the teams isn't even in the same league?

But '82 was a good series, I was at 6 of the 7 games, missed game 3..

This year, both teams are hard to beat on their home turf, so the Brewers might get the edge on that basis.

Nyjer Morgan is a huge tool and should embarrass all Brewers fans.

The Cards got two of their three victories in Philadelphia, so that's encouraging. Clearly, though, the Brewers absolutely need home field advantage. The first two games will be very important for them.

That's what I thought too and I was wrong. I thought he would be the downfall of this club house and I highly criticized the move but he hasn't done the old nyjer morgan stuff. Nyjer has stuck up for his team mates and has brought a lot of fun to the brewers club house. I really think the whole marlins incident was one mistake and shouldn't hurt his image for his whole career.

I'm picking the Brewers because I pulled them and the Tigers out of a hat before the playoffs began. I figured that made as much sense as trying to pick the winners based on their talent.

Doug Russell's Blogs: The Cardinals have become the Brewers most hated rival

This season, the teams' hatred seemed to bubble to a head on Aug. 2, when La Russa filed a nonsensical formal complaint against the Brewers because the ribbon boards at Miller Park were somehow giving the Brewers an unfair advantage.

The ribbon boards were too bright? The ribbon boards. Really. Ribbon boards. You have nothing better to do than complain about the ribbon boards.

What's next, the showers aren't to your liking in the visitor's clubhouse? Is the indoor batting cage too far for you to walk to? Are the sheets not at a high enough thread count at the Pfister? Good grief. The ribbon boards?

Don't forget that La Russa called Brewers fans "idiots" although he knew to retract that the instant the word left his lips. But he still thought it enough to let the word leave his lips.
Tensions escalated yet again between the two teams again on Sept. 7 when Nyjer Morgan and Chris Carpenter exchanged profane pleasantries resulting in both benches emptying.

Morgan is still in the novelty phase of his career as a clown. He will be amusing for a time and then eventually something will happen that is controversial and he will be at the center of it. Then it will be serial controversy. Enjoy him now because he is a Terrell Owens in the making.

The Cardinals should win easily. The Brewers are the only playoff team with a losing record on the road and still have not won on the road in the playoffs. I can see this being a 5 game series win for the Cards.

And agree whole heartedly on Nyjer Morgan. He's a tool.

However the Crew has a winning record on the road in the second half of the season again however it was vs sub par teams so I do worry about their lack of winning on the road but that's why you have home field advantage. If Nyjer is a tool what does that make LaRussa? King Tool or a Tool Shed?
