Run Differential +205.[/quote]

The Dodgers have a 247 run differential right now and they probably wont even win their division.

Whenever the Mets disappoint they have to go back to "glory days" and pump them even more .

No just clarifying. I saw 1986 coming as Mets 1985 finish was super strong. Mets won 98, lost to St. Louis by 3.

It was much like the NL West now, a few strong teams battled in NL. NYM and St. Louis were consistently amongst league best 1985 for several years-despite wildly different styles. Cards had great lineup and speed; Mets had great starting pitching and power.

Unlike 1969, Mets had 3 excellent regular seasons in 1985, 1986, and 1988. Mets went from 100 1969 wins to 83 in 1970. Far different than 1985-1988, when they won 98, 108,92, and 100, respectfully.

I wish Cohen would fire Alderson. We no longer need the votes of other owners-that makes Alderson useless.

Do these people who've made their money ever feel guilty about hanging on to jobs way past normal retirement age, blocking the next generations? Politicians, of course, being the worst. Al "Dukes" on the FAN has made this point about broadcasters several times recently.

If the Mets had a miniscule payroll like the Rays, Mets fans might understand this level of failure. But, the Mets were big spenders in 2021, & blew through a wad of cash on this losing team.

The Mets had the #3 largest payroll to work with in 2021, but currently have the 18th highest # of wins.

That is underperforming on a massive scale.

Time to clean house.

You're kidding right. Mets fans wouldn't put up with a miniscule payroll. They'd be calling for Owners heads on a platter. They'd be out there with torches like hunting for Frankenstein. Talk radio and the papers would have a field day.
No one cares in Tampa.
You know this.

The Mets were an unmitigated disaster this season...again. No?

The Rays are the best team in the AL, and the Mets are terrible in the NL...no?

Try to spin it anyway you can , but the truth hurts...the Mets org is terrible.

Please stop with the childish my team is better than your team schtick. A team that you don't have any long tenured history with as a fan to boot. You're better than that, and too old.
If the Mets ownership tries to go cheap, the NY fanbase and media will let them know about it, at the gate and in TV ratings. They're not going to spend among the leagues highest ticket prices to see free players.
