The Mets are on roller skates the rest of the way. The Divisions atrocious.

I had no idea until now this rule even existed. What a stupid rule! I want to make sure I have this right: Let's say a team only has 7 available pitchers down in the bullpen, but 2 of them have each thrown 50 pitches in the last 2 games, so in theory you only have 5 available pitchers. So, your starter gets injured recording only 1 out, so you have to cover the 26 other outs with basically 5 pitchers. But the game is 15-13 in the 7th because nobody from either team can get anyone out. So, we are now in the 8th, that team with the injured starter still has to cover 6 more outs, but their only 2 "available" pitchers are the 2 that each threw 50 pitches the last 2 games. So, this rule is telling me that THAT pitcher has to pitch before the back up catcher?? Honestly, if it were me, and you wanted to start using position players to pitch in the 2nd inning for whatever reason, you should be able to do that. Another brilliant idea from our genius commissioner Rob Manfred

It is absurd, but so is having 14 pitchers at times.

Great to see NY got a hard fought split vs LAD. Braves caught up 2 during series, down 8.5.

Back to .667 (2wins/loss).

Depth of lineup, plus overall solid starting pitching has been the difference.

Alonso/Marte hurt-game changer.

With Thursday an off day, I do think the Mets need a reliver to drill a middle of lineup Padre Wednesday.

NL West Coast trips are brutal this year for any team as opposed to AL West Coast trips which are a vacation.

Is it too soon to address the elephant in the room? "Subway Series"
