Mets are saying spot starts in RF and 1B, but with Duda crushing it again, I suspect 1B will not be often. After this year, though it's either Cuddy or Conforto in '16. Conforto '17....

I also suspect Lagares will get more games starting than it appears as of now. Grandy can't play 2 months w/o rest.

I'm shocked DeGrom gave up 2 runs. For him, that is awful.

That Cuddyer signing was bad when it happened and is even worse now. And still another year and $10 million to go!!!

I agree. But at least it is a short deal. Plus he'll get time keeping Grandy fresh for the playoff push, as Grandy is no spring chicken.

As a long-time Mets fan who moved to Pgh 13 years ago and is now an ardent Bucs fan, I feel a bit ripped off. Gooden and Straw selfishly ruined their careers and the team's chances. Generation K was a bust. The gagging prima donnas of the mid-2000s ultimately changed my fanship to the Pirates. But I guess there's still a place in my heart for the Mutts and if the Bucs can't win it all, I hope the Mets do.

Have never been to Citi, but having been around for the 85-88 runs and the 99-01 runs, few places rocked as hard as hard as Shea.

Back to 1st, and Lagares starts vs leftie Tuesday; Cespedes moves to a corner.

I had a feeling about this year, back in March I put $100 for them to win the world series at 22:1. They're now down to 15:1, probably drop to 10:1 soon. Go Mets!!!

With just a reasonable 3-6, and they are better than that now, and this pitching, they will continue to thrive.

Rocky 9th (OMG), but not complaining. 6 game in streak, 2 game lead, +5 vs Nats since last Friday, with 2 more games from the Big 3 to start vs Rays.
