This is the second straight year the Nats should be 10+ games up at this point, and like last year this year they are pissing games away (Scherzer giving up home runs to a .140 hitter & and ex-Met castoff; Rivero failing to record an out while giving up 6 runs, giving up a homer to a .180 hitter in a game they had 11 hits with 2 homers & 5 doubles yet only scored 2 runs; Taylor going 0-5 with 5 strikeouts and then not fielding the ball). They looked like a legimate title contender against the Cubs 10 days ago, and now look like they would get mercy ruled by the Queens little league team.

I understand the Met issues, understand Nats issues less although I still trust 3-5 NYM far more than 3-5 Nats.

Mets have same issues as '15; an outrageous % of team RBIs on DL.

Only back 1 in the loss column. Can't wait to see Nimmo, and Reyes back in 7-10 days.

I love how this thread was getting posts multiple times a day last year when the Mutts were winning, but now that they've had a down first half of the year, and have just lost 6 out of 7 to the Braves there is barely a post a week on this. Just goes to show the value of New York fans.

That's what I like about the Braves thread: you, Jardine & Carolina Knight keep it going all year no matter how good or bad the team maybe. I try to do the same with the Nats thread, but got tied down this weekend with family parties & family barbecues, and when you are the only person that contributes, hard to keep it going when you are busy the whole weekend.

Last year, both halves, I posted more. personal life is far too busy this year. I'm watching fewer games in full, even less w/o multi-tasking. Hope within 1-2 months I can focus on Orange & Blue again like last year.
