I disagree, honestly would trade Syndergaard first. I think JD has a long shelf life as he pitches, while Syndergaard throws. I also suspect Phils will not be far ahead of Mets/Nats. Braves will IMO win NL East. But a NL East wc, or 2 , is a possibility.

Yanks will probably have to overpay to get any top pitcher, but I’m pretty sure nobody will be getting Torres.

good call.

Still would not deal any of the kids. Or the 1-2 top of rotation.

The 2015 team, pre Ces deal, was in far worse shape than the 2018 team.

Don't say I didn't tell you so.

Now the free-fall continues with Syndy on the DL and NO deGrom can't pitch every game.

The Mets have no good farm system = middle of the road team at best which is VERY shameful being they're a NYC area team imho.

Where are the HR's? The 2015 team was a bit better in that department.

DL will be awaiting Ces and such again in the future as it seems "x" Mets players who matter seem to frequently "get hurt" even when they didn't have such history before becoming Met players ooops I mean DL bench warmers - must be the breathing in of the "flushing" lol!

Root for a normal organization I say.

2nd, DeGrom and Syndergaard should be untouchable.

With normal big market ownership (not present here with this team imo) I would've agreed.

Wilpons should sell the team to a new owner who'd be a George Steinbrenner-ish type imo.

Also jettison the GM yesterday.

Noah 10 days hardly concerns me, but I wish Calloway would insert both Gsellman and Lugo into the rotation, in place of Vargas and Wheeler. I expect Wheeler to earn his way back, but JD, Noah, Matz, Gsellman, Lugo is our best 5 at this time.

Wow was I ever wrong on Cabrera. Playing hurt and still performing well.

If we can hang around .500 until Frazier, Ces, and Synd return, this will be an interesting year.

26 losses and counting also under 500.

There's still a lot of season left so it remains to be seen.

Not holding my breath though.

No matter how this year goes, they must retain the core younger studs they have.

Even with the struggles, this team would crush 2015-2016 club as it existed Memorial Day each year.
