Not hitting the panic button yet. 2020 was a weird year, so i am dismissive of 2020 altogether. As for this year, MC looked as clueless until the last few days.

Lindor's swings are very bad at this time, but his track record is far more very good than mediocre or bad.

I am more concerned with 3rd base. Davis & Guillorme both hurting isn't good. Also dislike these bullpen games immensely.

Adoring Alonso looking like 2019, willing to use the full field.

It looks like the Chili has expired in Queens. And what a weird time to fire him, after the first game of a 4 game series. And considering they scored 13 runs in their last 2 games (though I think 11 of those 13 came in the final 2 innings Sunday and the first 2 innings tonight) I'm wondering why they'd do that. If that Roskins home run doesn't get overturned to a double and they end up losing, does Chili get fired before todays game?? If the Mets score more than 5 runs and or win Monday's games is he still fired??

Not sure, but interesting thing is , IMO, if Hoskins hits ball less well, it gets the height to clear the wall. By nailing it, he never got much height on it. I knew when he hit it, it might stay in the yard, based on that.

This team has terrific opposite field power, which it must start using regularly. Alonso and MC, in particular, followed by Dom Smith, each IMO has better power the other way than as pull hitters. If Stevie Wonder can facilitate that shift in mindset, I am for him being the next batting instructor.

W/O Walker, we'd be in trouble now, with Carrasco out a few weeks longer. Can't wait until he and Thor have joined us. Pen has been more decent than bad this year, and the starters are pulling their weight.

No matter JD's MRI result, the Mets should shut him down a few weeks, at minimum.

Injuries, injuries, injuries.

Plus a terribly managed weekend series vs the Blue Jays.
