Why?? So, the Yankees & Red Sox have another 19 games against a AA team??

What happens when MLB's leading pitching staff meets MLB's 27th best scoring team? The former wins 5-2. The Rays ruined the Giants home opener by taking a four run lead before SF even came to bat.

Rays' opponents have averaged less than 2 runs per game so far. I'd say TB should go for the kill and sign Kimbrel but considering what a diva he's being I'm sure he's not willing to be anyone's "opener".

Pham has reached base in 40 straight games going back to last season.

Adames could use a reboot as he's hitting just .037/.037/.037.

First time the Giants have scored as many as six all year. 33% of all the runs the Rays have given up this year were scored in this game. 24% of all the runs SF has scored this season were in this game.

After yesterday's eruption, the Giants remembered how lousy they really are with the bats and tried to make up for yesterday by getting just five hits and only one baserunner as far as second.

Tampa was already leading all MLB with a 2.09 team ERA coming into today's game. The shutout lowers that number.

The Marlins could boost attendance by keeping their star players and winning/being competitive, but instead they continue to cycle through development of star players they trade away as they begin to blossom. Who wants to put up with that year in and year out as a fan?

How long can the Rays sustain this?

They can add a whole run to the team ERA and still lead the league this year.

Pham's on-base streak continued today after he hit two homers, 45 straight games I believe.
