Back in june I was confident about 3 things

1. The nats would win the NL East

2. The Mets would finish ahead of the Phillies

3. The Phillies were not going to the playoffs due to their.........pitching

So I was definitely wrong about the METS

Confidence is a good thing.

But, how can you be confident when you're even wrong about what you're confident about?

I will wait until after the All star break to make that prediction.
I'm confident that the All-Star break is in July. So you weren't confident that the Nationals would win the NL East in June.

You were wrong about #2.

The Phillies staff is league average in...pitching (ERA-)
They are 7% below average in...hitting (wRC+)
They are league average in...defense (UZR/150)
Their hitting is their big deficiency.

0 for 3 dude

Whatever, they been losing because they give up RUNS!!!!!!!!!. Did you see the collapse on Sunday? The Phillies led the Braves 7-1 and ended up losing 8-7. Since Howard and Utley returned they have been better offiensively but the pitching is what killed them.

Is that how it goes? One of the more astounding observations, even with too many exclamation points.
