Alright, y'all. Great finish to a nail-biter, indeed. It's about time for Verlander to get his elusive World Series win in a game. Now, Jim Crane can see about arranging a new contract for him.

And Chas McCormick gets to make a huge play in his hometown, with a run-saving catch in the bottom of the ninth.

Astros go back to Houston with a three-games-to-two lead. Ryan Pressly with a five-out save and Jeremy Pena with a key home run.

Karma was on his side if for no other reason than the verbal hassling his mother has taken from fans at Citizens Bank.

Verlander should take McCormick and Mancini at least out for a great meal .

So now the Astros have wasted a runner on third with no one out in a one run game.
And the other "DH", Yordan Alvarez, is hitting 2-for-19 with 7 K's so far in the World Series.

Mancini's at bat looks a little bit better yesterday although he still got K'd. Diaz look totally undiscipline and just swings at everything. Hensley look overmatched but he's still young enough.

Too bad Greinke went back to Royals, or else we could have use him as a DH .

At least Altuve finally regains his form.

Altuve is starting to get hits but still not getting "the big hit" and zero rbi's or home runs in post-season. Yordan has slumped since Seattle. Bregman has done well and Gurriel has played better than regular season. JP is our hero and my current pick for series MVP. We can complain about Mancini (great defensive play in the 9th) and Diaz and others but we wouldn't be here without the run production from the bottom of the lineup.

Clearly, we live and die with our pitching. Except for game 1 with Seattle and maybe game 4 with NY, we haven't been winning by outslugging the other team. Our pitching holds them to a few runs and we scratch out just enough to win by a run or two.

Regarding Zack, I wouldn't be surprised if he were in attendance at Minute Maid tomorrow. He'd already taken in an Astros game in Seattle not too long ago. He really likes these guys.

And I'm glad, too, that Altuve is finally back. No home runs, but still a few significant hits in the WS.

Fn Altuve. I noticed something different with him. What happened to the tongue flick? You would see it at the plate and in the field. It was his sign that he was feelin' it and confident. I didn't see in the two at-bats tonight and now that I think about, I don't remember him doing it lately.
