Astros get a nice shutout win on Opening Day, 2-0 over the Indians.

Great pitching duel tonight with Kluber and Keuchel, but it was Jose Altuve and George Springer who made the big difference in the game, manufacturing the first run of the game.

Also was the third straight Opening Day win for Houston.

Keuchel looked good, despite the 3 walks. He's a groundball machine! Nice crowd, although I guess it wasn't a sell-out. Hoping to go to a game soon. I'm about 3 hours away, so we go down 3-4 times/year.

43,753 qualifies as a sellout. Biggest crowd at Minute Maid since 2010. Hope we get a lot more of this.

George Springer showed today why he will become a great major-league player. He prevented what could have been a game-winning home run for the Rangers in the 10th inning. The Astros would go on to tack on two more runs in the 14th and hold on to win in an Arlington nail-biter, 6-4.

Well, not completely. We beat them Wednesday night. Our problem is, as a whole, we just can't hit consistently.

Astros are 14-33 against the A's, all-time. In 2014, they beat us like a stepchild.

Many happy memories at the Dome. My wife and I were at Ryan's 5th no hitter.
