Per Correa... Jose told him that he was waiting on the slider.
First two pitches of the ABs were fastballs, which he took - 2-0. Pitch 3 was a slider which you could tell he gauged it all the way to the catcher's mitt - 2-1. Pitch 4 slider... game over.
Absolute mistake by Chapman to throw that same pitch twice in a row.

Here we are, folks. Game 1 is in Houston tomorrow. It will be the first World Series in which both participants share the same Spring Training facility. It will also be the second WS where both participants were both expansion teams (Houston Colt .45s and Montreal Expos). Which hitters will get hot? Which hitters will stay hot? Which hitters will get cold? Will the starting pitching be as advertised? What storylines will we have this time? We will find out.
By the way, Justin Verlander, Max Scherzer, and Anibal Sanchez all played together for the Detroit Tigers from 2012-14, and they are all reunited in this World Series. Should be some great stuff ahead.

^^^ And to add,........
It's fitting for a franchise whose mascot is based on Houston's space theme to be able to win a Fall Classic fifty years after the famed Apollo 11 moon landing. If that happens, of course. Very fitting.

I've lost track of how many times I've watched that replay.
It still gives me goosebumps.
IIRC, Jose said the same thing to one of the television interview2rs after the game that he said to Correa.
Ok. I just heard one of the play-by-play announcers - yet again - make reference to Altuve's diminutive height. He mentioned how it takes 5 Altuve Jersey's to wrap around JJ Watts. Woo-Hoo!
OK! Got the point. Altuve is short; very short. Got it! Let's move on beyond his height.
There's more to the Player beyond his diminutive height.

Just watched “Moneyball” again last night
All the scouts were just citing personal issues like that to justify why someone had or didn’t have the “it” factor
One even went so far to say that a player with a not-spectacular girlfriend lacked “confidence” and therefore didn’t have the confidence to make the grade in the majors
And Billy and Pete went out of their way to look for the “odd” “out of norm” player with an unrecognized potential...
From my perspective it seems like tonight’s announcers are pro Nationals
Waiting on taped to speed through commercials
In 7th Springer hits that fast ball but the announcers spent the beginning of the inning bragging on the new Nationals pitcher and how sad the Astros had lost the lead...
It shouldn't represent a surprise that a player can be short and still be among the best players in the game. Joe Morgan was 5'7", Phil Rizzuto was 5'6", and Hack Wilson who still holds the single season RBI record, checked in at 5'6". All three made the Hall of Fame.
Altuve isn't a great player for his size, he is just a great player.

You'd have to live here in the Houston metro to understand (or at least live in Texas ).
It's been sort of a running thing....more prominent in the beginning....but on and off.....measuring things in 'How many 'Altuves'....for 6+ years.
From what I understand, Altuve himself thinks this is hilarious:
