Thanks for that, Bucsfan. Nice to see Cecil get the nod. He's been solidly terrific since Day One in a not-very-glamorous role as the 6th-7th inning guy.

I think Jose snuck in at the wire with a hot bat the past 10 days.

But what pleases me more than anything was that Leland picked John Gibbons as one of his coaches weeks ago - when the Jays were really struggling. It was a case of a great baseball man recognizing a darn good one.

Much-needed win by yet-another fill-in starter (the Jays' 13th different starter in 88 games) Todd Redmond.

The day off tomorrow will be appreciated too, I'm sure. Then it's back on the road to Cleveland and Baltimore before the All-Star break.

Sure would be nice to hit the break at, or above .500.
