And I'd say the same if the score was reversed. (Just wouldn't be so happy about it.)
For the 2nd consecutive start, Marco Estrada took a no-no into the 8th, only to lose it with one out on an infield hit.
Both pitching staffs were very good (where does Tampa grow these guys?) but Chris Colabello finally ended things with a solo dinger.
Jays took two of the three games which is all I could realistically hope for. Off day today then a 7-game home stand starting with Texas on Friday.
The fact they are doing it without Alex Cobb (out the rest of the year), Drew Smyly (out till at least late August or September if he comes back at all), Matt Moore (out until around the All Star Break) & Jake Odorizzi (probably out another rotation turn or 2) speaks volumes about the Rays pitching depth. There's not a lot of other organization's (I'd say probably the Cardinals are the only other one) that could lose 80% of their starting rotation and not miss a beat.

Yeah, their bullpen is stacked with great arms too. Testament to a great scouting staff and an organization that can develop talent.

The Rays' defense is usually extremely good, but that has taken a major hit as James Loney is out and he can save a few throwing errors from his infielders.....we've been weak in the at department lately - can't wait til he returns.
I went to the game yesterday just because I thought the Blue Jays might be that AL World Series team - like their hitters - hope them success if the Rays can't make it. Donaldson is awesome btw.
