I didn't see an "Official" thread for the Jays, nor do I know whether Joe Anybody can start one.

But I'm a fan, so I'll give it a shot.

I was one of the shivering masses in April 1977 at Exhibition Stadium in Toronto. (Still have the program.)

Despite last night's Opening Day loss, hope runs high Jaysville this year. I believe Alex Anthopolous should win Executive of the Year right now - doesn't matter if the team reaches, fails, or exceeds expectations. His re-tooling of the roster from one year to the next while managing to replace every leaving part with one demonstrably better was nothing short of breathtaking.

He da' man.

But will the Jays become the Beasts of the AL East, or will they fall by the wayside for the 21st consecutive year?

Tune in to find out. There's 161 games to go.

My personal prediction is they'll make post-season play.

Indians fan tuning in. Saw the first two games since the Blue Jays and Indians are squaring off.

One observation I have that no prognosticator made any comments about this offseason during the major overhaul was the fact that Arencibia can't catch R.A. Dickey. Game 1 was brutal trying to watch Arencibia not allow a billion passed balls - some of which led directly to Indians' runs.

Game 2 I was watching on MLB.tv mobile during work so admittedly, I didn't see every pitch, but it was shocking to me that Toronto has only mustered 9 hits in their first 20 innings. It's way too early to pass judgement. Good luck.

Thanks for the well-wishing. I almost think you mean it.

Kudos to your Indians. They delivered better pitching than I expected to see. You guys might surprise some people this year. I'm a big Francona fan since his Expos days. I think he'll mean an extra half-dozen wins this year for your squad.

Good luck to you. (Starting the day after tomorrow and lasting until we meet again.)

Ok. Jays are off the schnied. Took five home runs though, in a wild game.

C'mon Sox!

That was one ugly game. Brett Myers and Mark Buerhle were hanging all kinds of stuff up in the strike zone.

Pivotal moment: Jose Reyes attempts to steal 2nd. Prrrrrooobabaly got thrown out by Santana but the 2nd base umpire calls him safe.

2 batters later: 3-run jack by Encarnacion.

I'd say it's a tough way for Cleveland to lose but the way they pitched, they didn't deserve to win anyway!

Man, I lost a parlay thanks to that Napoli bomb to center field in the 8th! Thanks, Blue Jays!

Nice comeback win against the Tigers today in rainy, cold Detroit. Hope they can get the rubber in tomorrow. Apparently, the weather gods are threatening again.
