Wowsa, Jansen sure knows how to make things interesting! Joe Kelly did too with the back to back walks, but hung on to get Hosmer. Lots of emotion in the game. I actually like the Padres' emotions/antics, and no lead is safe against them. Now we'll see them once again with their backs against the wall.

Jensen is the weak link on the Dodgers. At least he did not cost them the game last night.

I really think that might be the last we see of Jansen unless Roberts has no choice. I have to think Trienen gets a shot or Grasdol. I wish I could say Kelly but not sure he's any better than Jansen right now.

Jansen is a big reason we have won 8 straight divisions but he can't be the reason we lose in the playoffs anymore. It's not fair to the other players or even fans.

2-0. The Dodgers can close it out today and move on to the NLCS. Tough outing for Jansen and Kershaw didn't have one of his better games but got the win. Luckily the Dodgers have enough talent on the roster to overcome this lapse, but need to continue to provide consistent offense like in games 1 and 2.

Dave Roberts was non committal during the postgame presser when addressing Jansen. He's lost some velocity on his cutter and it may be contributing on how effective he is in his role as closer. Also he's had issues with heart health.

I was glad Kershaw got the win. Wasn't a great game because of the two later homers but he still kept us in the game. If he pitched like that every post season nobody would put his name in the same sentence as a choker. And it was also nice even though wins don't mean much. He's now 11-11 in the post season. So if he gets a win in the NLCS (maybe 2) and a win in the WS. He could really shift the outlook on him. Let's say he wins the WS this year & gets another 2 wins without a loss. Well now he's 13-11 with an era in the low 4's. Hard to say he's a horrible October pitcher.

The past 3 years have not been kind to Jensen. His ERA has been over 3. Not bad for a pitcher but for your ace closer not good enough. He has several good outings in a row then has a horrible game.

No off days for the NLCS. Gotta think that benefits the Dodgers.
