Hard to believe it has been ten years already. I didn't even start watching baseball until 2006, but it was something I already knew about. I remember they had a replay of the game on the radio in 2007, my ears were glued to the speakers.
I feel bad for Bartman because the video clearly shows multiple people sitting right by him that also reach out for the ball. Bartman was just unlucky in that the ball was on a direct line to his seat number.
There's been talk of bringing Bartman back to Wrigley to throw out a first pitch. That would be a horrible idea(considering he's never made a public appearance since I doubt he wouldn't go for it anyway). But, you can't bring Bartman back until the Cubs win the World Series. That won't happen for awhile. I can see it though. The year is 2040. Steve Bartman is 70 years old receiving a standing ovation on opening day the year after the Cubs have won their first first series in almost 150 years.

Yes, we will be able to look back and say....remember when Wrigley didn't have lights and you could watch the game from the rooftops? Oh, and remember when Sammy Sosa was black?
Poor Bartman took the fall, when it was really Alex Gonzalez dropping a charity hop grounder to short that cost the Cubs game 6 (Or Kerry Wood giving up 7 earned runs in game 7).
