There might as well be a thread for the Reds too. They kicked the Nationals' butt last night by a score of 15-0. Things are looking good early on, but they are relying on the long ball an awful lot.
One game out of a 162 game season is meaningless. Fun...but still meaningless. Leake is starting today which, given how awful he is, is almost a guaranteed loss. Remind me again why Chapman is still in the bullpen?
I'm a Reds fan, but I absolutely hate Dusty Baker and was hoping last year's postseason collapse would be reason enough to get him fired. 97 wins is worthless when you have the Astros and Cubs to beat up on for the majority of the season.
I still think the Cardinals are the team to beat in the NL Central (baseball's worst division).

Who said it had any meaning?
Dusty is a good manager, why do you think he's so terrible?
The Cardinals aren't that great, and how can you say the NL Central is the worst division when you have the NL West and AL Central?
The Reds are a fun team to watch...I'll probably make them my NL team for the foreseeable future as I live in the area. I thought they took a big risk as a small-to-mid market team in paying out so big for Votto and Phillips last year, but it appears so far to have paid off.
Well, none of the teams are getting to 100 wins, but that makes sense considering the division has three playoff teams. It looks like the Reds are going to have to settle for a wild card spot, unless the Cardinals really falter. I like their chances against the Pirates.
