I heard in San Antonio that the owners of the Mariners were relocating to San Antone in 2010. Does anyone have any info?

I can't see that happening to the Mariners. Are you sure it wasnt the Marlins they were talking about because that rumor has been floating around in Charlotte.

WHAT!!!! that's a load of ****! there's a whole lotta other teams that would make a move before the mariners. not to mention the fact that san antone is probably not a big enough market to support a mlb franchise at this time

If anyone in the MLB is moving to San Antonio, it's the Florida Marlins. They don't have a new ballpark in the works, which is the main (and probably the only) reason why their have been talks of moving.

The only question is, does San Antone WANT a baseball team?

Charlotte is the Los Angeles iof football when it comes to baseball. Marlins owners have also threatened with Las Vegas and Portland, Oregon. I love Charlotte, but the metro area isn't big enough (yet) to support an MLB team.

I hope not, I went to a game at Safeco last summer and had a great time, easily one of my favorite stadiums.

the MLB should take a look at a metro area with 1.7 million people and has never had a major sports team: Hampton Roads and NE North Carolina. I guarantee that there will be one major sports team in Virginia by 2030.

You have the right first letter but the wrong team. Not the Mariners but the Marlins.
