Rockies have now been swept two straight series....a far cry from 2007 when the Rox were sweeping one series after another to stage a fabulous comeback. Have lost six in a row, are now 59-90 at .396 and 25.5 games out of first place. Rockies were outscored 14-6 in these 3 games.

If we lose 10 of the remaining 13 games we'll finish at 62-100. Could happen.

The team comes home and starts 3 games versus the first place Dodgers tomorrow night.

I've been in the Denver area and just got back late last night. Went to the Bronco Chief game and took my brother to the Rockies/Dodger game Monday night. Pretty brutal. Rockies gave up 8 runs in the sixth inning.

I'm with Mike here. Losing 100 games could happen.

I hope the Rockies lose the final 12 games, Walt Weiss gets sent packing, and a winning mlb team takes over the Sky Sox.

Default The Season of Goofiness Continues

Rockies just took 2 of 3 from the AL West leading Dodgers. That we won 2 of 3 in our home ballpark in not at all remarkable; what is remarkable are the scores of 3-11, 10-4 and 16-2. Rockies out scored the Dodgers by 29-17. In these 3 games, the Dodgers scored 8 runs in 6th inning of game one; and the Rockies scored 8 runs in the 1st inning of today's 16-2 win. Weird stuff in a season of weird stuff.

Rockies are now 61-91, at .401 and are 25 games behind the Dodgers who are only 2 games ahead of SF. Today's article indicates the Dodgers are having pitching woes at a time when the Giants are nipping at their heels. Dodgers close out the season in L.A. with 3 games against the Giants and close the season with 3 games against the Rockies. The Giants have SEVEN games remaining with San Diego and 3 at the Dodgers. Rockies could play a bit of the spoiler if we beat L.A. those 3 games at the very end of it all.

AZ comes in for 4 games starting tomorrow.

Final home series of the year, IIRC.

I might go to Sunday's game, just because.

Last night's game was fun to watch....down 6-1 at one point the Rockies kept scratching back and capped off the win with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th on a 2-run walk-off HR by Willin Rosario, his first walk off.

The Rox are tied with AZ for last place in the NL West, or tied for 4th place if one's an optimist.

Default Comic Relief

The Rox swept their four game set vs the Diamondbacks this weekend, ending their season's play at home with a six game winning streak. It was the first 4-game sweep of the season by the Rockies who are now 65-91 at .417 and 3 games ahead of last place AZ.

Rockies enter the last week of the season with 3 games at San Diego starting tomorrow, are off Thursday before ending the season against the L.A. Dodgers next weekend. The Rox took 2 of 3 from the Dodgers last week in Denver and swept three from San Diego earlier in the month. Though a long shot, we could push the Dodgers out of first place in favor of the Giants if things go a certain way this week.

Rockies are trying to not finish in last place a 3rd straight year, but at only 3 games ahead of last place AZ the distinction hardly matters.

Dear god, please let this be true - and let it be followed by Dick Monfort announcing he's hiring a president to take over day-to-day operations of the team.

Rockies GM Dan O'Dowd could land with Braves, per report - Purple Row

Why in Todd Helton's name would any team want anything to do with O'Dowd?
