Blew a 3 run lead but came back to win in extra innings for their only win of the week. With the White Sox winning 6 of their last 10 games, and the Rockies winning 3 straight games the Marlins are now owners of the worst record in baseball. 3 game series in Detroit to begin the week, and than 3 at home against the Mets. Tigers have lost their last 3 series, and the Mets have lost the first 2 games to the Braves after sweeping the Cardinals. Phillies are in first, Braves are 1.5 back, Nats are 8 back, Mets are 8.5 back, and the Marlins are 17.5 back.

They lost the first game in Detroit, and lost the last game vs. the Mets, but in between won 4 straight games highlighted by back to back shut outs of the Tigers, and coming back from deficits of 7-2 and 9-5 to win in extras against the Mets. 6 games this week; 3 at home vs. Milwaukee to start, and 3 in Arizona to end the week. Brewers are leading the Central, and the D'Backs, even after making the World Series last year are struggling to begin this season residing in 4th in the NL West. A good week is 5-1, what I expect is 2-4, and a bad week is 0-6. Phillies are in first, Braves are 4.5 back, Mets are 12 back, Nats are 12.5 back, and Miami is 19 back.

Had a pretty good week. Won 2 of 3 against both the Brewers and D'Backs. Still a long ways away, but you have to crawl before you can walk. Road trip continues with 3 games in San Diego visiting old friend Luis Arraez, and than come home to face the reigning World Series champs in the Rangers. The Padres just lost a home series to the Yankees but have played to their opponents level, while the Rangers just recently ended a 6 game losing streak. A good week is 2-4, what I expect is 2-4, and a bad week is 1-5. Phillies are in first, Braves are 6 back, Nats are 13.5 back, Mets are 15 back, and Miami is 19 back.

Just about what I expected. Won the final game of the Padres series, and the first game of the Rangers series, but lost the rest for a 2-4 week. A short 5 game week all at home against AL opponents. The Sunshine state showdown with the Rays starts on Tuesday and than 3 games against the Guardians. Rays are not having a good year currently tied with the Blue Jays for last in the AL East having lost 9 of their last 13 games as the injury bug has hit them fast and often especially in the rotation this year. The Guardians meanwhile have been the opposite. Despite losing ace Shane Bieber after his second start of the season new manager Stephen Vogt has them trugging along at 39-20 with the majors 3rd best record; only the Phillies & Yankees have better records than Cleveland does. A good week is 4-1, what I expect is 2-3, and a bad week is 0-5. Phillies are in first, Braves are 7 back, Nats are 13.5 back, Mets are 17 back, and Miami is 20.5 back.

Went 1-4 this past week, so at least they got 1 win! 6 games this week, all on the road to divisional opponents. Stars tonight with 3 in Queens against the Metropolitans, and than to DC for the weekend with 3 vs. the Nats. Marlins lost 3 of 4 at home to the Nats in late April, and won 2 of 3 at home against the Mets in mid May. Mets are coming off 4 wins in their last 5 games, the lone loss being to the Phillies in London, Nats meanwhile ended 1-6 skid with 3 straight wins against the Braves to conclude the weekend. A good week is 3-3 (I can't expect them to win both series), what I expect is 2-4, and a bad week is 0-6.

Tanner Scott allowed a walk off 2 run homer to J.D. Martinez in the rubber game of the Mets series, so they turned what could have been a 2-4 week into a 1-5 week as they ended with another drubbing at the hands of the Nats as they fall to 0-7 against Washington this year as the Nats hand them another sweep and outside of this final game Sunday where the Marlins had the tying run at the plate and an April 29 game in Florida where the Marlins were up 7-0 before losing 12-9, none of the games have been particularly close. 6 home games this week; 3 to start against the Cards, and 3 on the weekend against Seattle. The Cards are one of the hottest teams in the league at the moment, and the Mariners are leading a surprisingly really bad AL West. A good week is 3-3, what I expect is 1-5, and a bad week is 0-6. Phillies are in first, Braves are 8 back, Nats are 12 back, Mets are 13.5 back, and the Marlins are 24 back.

They do have 50 losses, but it's not like they are pitching the tent for the rest of the year. They stopped the Cards win streak in their tracks, and slowed down a hot Seattle team winning 2 of 3 in each series for a very impressive 4-2 week overall. They head on the road for all 7 games this week; 3 to start in KC, and than 4 in Philadelphia to end it. The Royals were one of the season's early surprise packages, but they've started to collapse as the schedule has tightened up. They started the month of June 4-2 but since then have gone 3-11 for an overall record in the month of 7-13. Of their 7 series they have played in the month so far, 5 of the teams have been over .500 but surprisingly they lost both series to the 2 teams they played that were under .500 both in the last week: Oakland (lost 2 of 3) and Texas (lost 3 of 3), so maybe the Marlins have a chance?? A good week is 4-3, what I expect is 2-5, and a bad week is 0-7. Phillies are in first, Braves are 7 back, Nats are 13 back, Mets are 13.5 back, and the Marlins are 24 back.

A 3-4 week, so a game better than I thought. They've got 6 home games against AL Sox teams. The firsr pair of Soxs coming in are the ones from Boston, before the Chicago version heads down for the weekend. Red Sox are a game and a half back in the AL Wildcard and are coming off a series loss to San Diego. The White Sox are the worst team in the league, one of only 2 teams (Rockies) that are under 30 wins. A good week is 5-1, what I expect is 3-3, and a bad week is 1-5. Phillies are in first, Braves are 8 back, Mets are 13 back, Nats are 16 back, and the Marlins are 25 back.

Got swept by the Red Sox but won 2 of 3 against the other Sox, coming from behind to win 2 of the 3 games. Hit the road for 6 games to end the first half portion of the schedule. They head to Houston (weather permitting) for 3 games against the Astros before heading to Cincinnati for 3 on the weekend. Astros are one of the hotter teams in the league in the last month. On June 18 they were 10 games behind the Mariners in the division, but on July 7 are only 2 games behind, and the Reds are a streaky team; they just finished a 5-2 road trip through St. Louis and the Bronx, and than came home and immediately got swept by the Tigers, so who knows with them?? A good week is 4-2, what I expect is 2-4, and a bad week is 0-6. Phillies are in first, Braves are 8 back, Mets are 13 back, Nats are 16 back, and the Marlins are 26 back.
