On Tuesday, Blue Jays closer Roberto Osuna became the youngest pitcher ever to record 100 saves. He reached 100 saves at 23 years and 62 days, passing Francisco Rodriguez who previously was the youngest at 24 years and 246 days.

So TB Rays' owener Sternberg's investment went from $200 to $900 million in about 13 yrs - and he's complaining about poor attendance, unable to pay good players, wants tax payers to build a new stadium.

---------------------------

Forbes′ latest franchise valuations has the Rays worth $900 million, up 9 percent from 2017 but last in the majors. That’s with the second lowest revenues, $219 million, but, interestingly, middle third operating income (described as earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) of $23 million.

Price Paid: $200 M
Year Purchased: 2004

And a walk in his first plate appearance today

And a 214 wRC+ which would be the best of his career.

If he sold the team, he could afford to pay some really good players.

Baseball's not dying.
