The V-load of a major league pitch has increased significantly over the years. Add that to the fact with the amount of money invested in these guys the allotted pitch counts has dropped for preservation.
Kind of a racket for pitchers now. Quadruple the pay for 1/4th the effort.
If you had the Rockies German Marquez in your pool for who would throw the first complete game of the year, you are a winner. Yesterday he threw a one hit shutout. It was against the hapless bats of the Giants, so it wasn't that huge of a challenge.
It was Marquez's first complete game in 69 career starts.
Same occurred in 1977, 1987 and a few other seasons.
Stop pretending the powers-that-be are full of integrity and they're playing with the same exact ball every year.

Home runs rise...therefore the only possible cause is a juiced ball? You don't have evidence, you have a wild guess which you presented as fact.

It is indeed fact. Balls have been compared from one season to the next and sometimes they're livelier. Sportswriters and players knew it in the years I mentioned, and they know it now.
If you want to live in an ideal world where all is perfect, so be it.

Your statement was that the ball was juiced "this season."
In that this season is only two weeks along, I don't think anyone has conducted any tests comparing the ball to any previous seasons. Tests conducted in previous seasons of course would have no bearing on the ball being altered in some manner for this season.
Your statement was made in the absence of your knowing whether or not it was true. If not accepting such statements represents "living in an ideal world", then mark me down for the ideal world.
Tampa Bay has the best overall pitching, leading MLB with a team ERA of 2.41. Their starting pitching has been otherworldly, posting a collective 1.56 ERA. That's 1.56 for all of their starters, not 1.56 for their best starter. Their bullpen has been less impressive, they are 7th in MLB with a team 3.53 ERA.
The best relief pitching so far? It has been the San Francisco staff, posting a 1.94 ERA, best in MLB by a lot. (Pirates are second with a 2.63 ERA for their relievers.) Overall the Giants pitching has been a surprising 3rd best in MLB. Too bad the offense is such a train wreck.

One of our local sportswriters did the bounce test with a ball from last season and ball from this season.
Guess which ball bounced higher? AND the numbers back me up.
