I'm watching the Tigers-Twins game and they're now tied in the 12th. It's been quite a game to watch except for having to listen to the idiotic Chip Carey. On at least 3 occasions he has incorrectly described plays, most notably the "base hit" in the 9th that was actually a line drive caught by the leftfielder. If he hasn't yet learned to do play-by-play he probably never will.

If I didn't know better I'd think this stuff is scripted. How predictable that the Tigers would do this, and in such dramatic fashion no less. Twins, congrats. Oh, and watch out for those Yankees, they'll own you.

That was the best game I've seen since game six of the 1991 World Series!

Wow, what a game! Congrats Minnesota - I want a rematch from the 1987 World Series lol!
Detroit, you played your @sses off and showed true grit and character. Do not hang your heads low.

Good luck to all!

Thanks Toast, we'll take that in the spirit it was intended. Don't believe it would be possible for any of us Twins fans to be embarrassed with what happens to our lads from here on out. We are and always have been very proud of them. Now the Tigers on the other hand...pretty fun to read those boards..."Off with their heads!"

See ya outside and across town in 6 months. By the way, it was never the dome, it was always the dirt it was built on.

I knew that would be the reaction. All this national media talk about how endeared the Tigers have been to Detroit all year is complete ignorant BS.

Regardless, a sincere congrats. And a sincere encouragement to embarrass yourselves in the first round again.

In Spring, the Tigers were predicted by most "experts" to finish dead last in 2009. The Twins were predicted to finish 2nd, behind the mighty Indians.

The Tigers season was a REAL fun one with a bad finish. If the Twins continue their tear, thats a great story for twins fans..but if they get killed by the yankees immediately, ie go nowhere in the playoffs, how is that much better than what the Tigers did going past game 162?

MIN: 5 division titles in the past 8 years, 0 World Series appearances.
DET: 0 division titles in the past 8 years, 1 World Series appearance
