In this decade, we’ve seen pitchers get upset when batters stare at their home run while in the batters box, or flip the bat. Now I don’t shun celebrating, because in the moment you are filled with excitement you want to share.

However, not everyone feels the same. Sometimes pitchers will throw being or at a hitter who has shown off. This often leads to warnings, bench clearings, and more. Do you guys remember the Pirates and Reds in 2019?

Who is in the wrong here? Do you think pitchers are getting too carried away with reacting? Or are the shenanigans of batters too much?

I don't like bat flips.

Nail them next time with a pitch.....even if it takes years.

It seems the logical solution to the dilemma is don't give up home runs.

Flip a bat, don't flip a bat. I don't care either way. Pitchers are so fragile these days. Do they not celebrate and pump their first upon success? How is bat flipping different.

I’m biased because it’s my team, but I loved Bautista’s bat flip.

^ And he got punched for it a year later.

He slid into second with his leg up, but the bat flip was main motivator.

Batista is a tosser.

He's punched at 1:40

I think it's ridiculous considering it's never been easier to hit a home run. Look at these numbers for homers, including the minors where they are using the MLB ball and it's all a bit silly.

Now, get off my lawn!!

The "unwritten rules" are a joke and just one of the many things that keeps baseball boring and less popular by the year.

I'm not a fan of all the celebration antics. Bat flips included.

An aggressive toss is one thing, Bautista's arrogant showboating is another. You know excess when you see it.
