I don't know much about him except looking at his stats which looks like he had a great year. A manager can't just give up a key player like that because he knows he is probably going to need him again.

Look at Cody Bellinger. He was horrible in the regular season & he is the reason the Dodgers made it to 6 games. If they had given up on him we probably don't get past SF.

They usually bring him into the game when the opposing team is at the bottom 1/3rd of the batting order, & even then he fails. You have to look deeper into the stats to see he is a loser. He's pitching to 7-8-9 in the order and a lot of pinch hitters on Lefty Righty match-ups.

Sometimes stats lie. Walks to K's lie a lot. What is the teams w-l rate in games he appeared in, as compared to other relievers. That is where he is fails. He's lost the Braves a lot of games.
